CTXR Accounts
An account is who you are on the platform. It sits above any individual space — your personal identity across all of them, and the place where you gather content from many sources into collections of your own. Where a space produces a site, an account consumes: it owns, follows and curates. You can sit on both sides at once, but the two roles never blur, because keeping them apart is what keeps each one simple.
This chapter is about that consumer layer: how identity works, how an account collects things, and what the difference is between content you own and references you follow.
What an account is and does
Your identity is anchored to a stable id, not to an email address — the email is only how you sign in, and there are no passwords, just a fresh code each time. From a single account you reach every space you touch through one dashboard, owning some, editing others, following the rest, without a separate login for each.
Consuming means collecting. An account organises what it gathers into a few flat shapes — one always-on bookmarks list, any number of typed folders, and routes — and everything in those collections is either content you made yourself or a read-only reference you imported. That second kind is a snapshot: pulled once, never pushed, carrying only a display-safe projection of the original. It’s the same “spaces don’t cross” rule seen from the consumer side, and it’s what keeps the model privacy-clean.
